Certificate Fees

According to a decision by Region Stockholm, healthcare providers are entitled to charge a fee for certain certificates.

The following certificates are subject to a fee:

• Certificates for the Swedish Transport Agency regarding driving licences, certain medications and medical fitness, for example ADHD/ADD

• Cancellation of travel due to medical reasons

• Certificates confirming possession of medication when travelling

• Certificates relating to preschool and school attendance, including certificates concerning children’s preschool or school situation, such as special dietary requirements and allergies

The fee is determined in accordance with Region Stockholm’s applicable fee schedule and may therefore be subject to change.

Certificates covered by the region’s rules on fee exemptions are issued free of charge. This includes, among others, certificates for the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), as well as certificates for parking permits, transport services (färdtjänst), legal guardianship and services under the Swedish Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS).
