MARTINA CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Good to know before the visit

What does a visit cost?

Visits for children under 18 years old at our paediatric outpatient clinics (BUMM) are free of charge thanks to our agreement with Region Stockholm. Missed appointments or late cancellations are charged, see below

Should I be registered with your pediatric clinic?

No, the pediatric clinics do not register their patients like health centers do. Children and adolescents aged 0-17 who need specialist care must have a referral to book an appointment with us.

You come to us regarding the reason stated in the referral. For other concerns, you need to contact the health center.

Identification

Guardians must be able to present valid identification at the time of the visit.

Waiting times

We constantly work to keep our waiting times short. We gratefully accept your help by cancelling or rescheduling your appointment well in advance if you are unable to come, so we can offer the time to someone else.

SMS reminder

We use SMS reminders for our scheduled appointments. This is a service provided by Region Stockholm. If you do not want SMS reminders, please notify us via Martina Direct, phone, or via 1177, e-services.

Cancellation/rescheduling

You can cancel/reschedule 24/7 via our digital service Martina Direct, click here Martina Direct

Cancellation/rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged according to the current rate from Region Stockholm. Read more here Fee for missed healthcare appointments

Please note that not receiving an SMS reminder for a scheduled appointment is NOT a valid reason for late cancellation, rescheduling, or missing an appointment.

Transportation/parking

Martina Children’s Hospital has multiple locations in the Stockholm area. Each clinic has separate instructions for transportation and parking. Click here Contact us and find the clinic where you have your scheduled appointment.

Care guarantee

You have the opportunity to utilize the Care Guarantee, read more here (Care Guarantee). Contact the clinic where you have an appointment, you can find contact information here (Contact us)

Integrated medical records

This means that as a patient, you don’t need to repeat your medical history at each new healthcare visit. It provides better and safer care. It also helps if you come in for emergency care, as the treating physician has a greater ability to provide you with the right care faster if they have access to your medical record. Read more here.

National quality registers

We register patient data (mainly diagnosis and treatment) in the Respiratory Registry and BORIS (Childhood Obesity Registry In Sweden). These are quality registers aimed at improving care. Talk to us if you don’t want us to register your child’s information.
